Here’s a story created by AI.

I contributed only the first sentence.

This was just an interesting exercise producing a story to see its capability for a project like this.

Storytelling, as with all art, is defined by its limits.

Does that make AI better or worse at projects like these?

Jeremiah and the Mage

The man walked the dark path with a wistful gaze at the bright full moon above. His normally gaunt face was sullen with worry, the only things that shone were his dark brown hair and piercing brown eyes.

His name was Jeremiah Allen, a young man who had nothing left in this world to lose since he already lost his parents at an early age. He had come upon quite hard times as of late, which is the reason he was currently walking along the forested path in such a dark mood.

Jeremiah had been working as an apprentice to Simon, a local mage and alchemist around his village. He was already turning eighteen and could barely afford all of his daily expenses after paying an exorbitant fee to continue studying under Simon. This is why he took on an extra job as a day laborer, which is why he found himself walking along the forest path on his way to Simon’s laboratory.
