Have you ever been inspired by a dream?
Do you ever wake up and experience a whole new idea or inspiration that seems like it came to you in your sleep? I know I do, and these ideas can range anywhere from lyrics for a song, an entire story, or another way to portray something that already exists.
Dreams are mysterious things, they tend to happen when we’re most at rest and least conscious. One theory is that dreams are our mind’s way of helping us process everything we take in throughout the day so we can be at peace when it’s time to sleep, but what about those times when something comes to you subconsciously?
I suppose it could be like a realization due to the subconscious mind’s novelty at having time to work during sleep, but I also think that dreams can act as something of a prelude for what we’ll find out in the near future, or perhaps an alternate way to solve a problem.

A piece for xylophone that came to me, either from osmosis or some sort of in-dream creation, is now lost, like most of my dreams, as I couldn’t remember much about it after the fact.
